	The Buntingford & District Social Club is a CIU affiliated working mens club with members aged 18 onwards No one single person owns or runs the club , it is owned and run by the members themselves The members annually nominate and elect a committee comprising a Chairman , Secretary , Treasurer , etc., and then additional committee members to help out with other matters . The committee are answerable to the members There are teams involved in the local darts and pool leagues, run by the members themselves There is a variety of entertainment on some Saturday evenings , but see the notice boards for details There is BIG MONEY BINGO every Monday evening New members to the Club have to be proposed by existing members However, if you are new to the area and do not know anyone you are still welcome to drop in and have a look around You may find someone who can sign you in as a guest for the evening Families with children are welcomed , but see notice boards for where or when children are not permitted Membership is renewable annually in January each year Basic ( Non CIU ) membership ( including 20% VAT ) costs £ 12.00 Senior members ( O.A.P's ) only pay £ 1.00 annual fee CIU annual membership fee is £ 3.00 , so therefore with CIU renewal it is £ 14.00 and £ 4.00 for OAP's New members also have to pay a £ 10.00 joining fee, and £ 3.00 for a door entry card, and a 5p share in the club Making a total of £ 25.05 for the first year for a NEW MEMBER ( Non CIU ) If a new member wishes to become a CIU member ! This costs an initial administration fee of £ 3.00 , and in addition the £ 3.00 annual fee ( £ 6.00 ) So a new member with additional CIU will pay £ 25.05 + £ 6.00 = £ 31.05 for this first year These figures have applied from previous years and are subject to change for current or later years See the notice boards for changes or ask at the time of applying or when renewing		.
